After weathering the storms of COVID for almost two years, sadly Vicki Collins at Travel Partners Muswellbrook has decided to close her store and get a regular job with a steadier income. It's been an exceptionally tough time for the travel industry and Vicki has tried her best to keep going through the COVID lockdowns. We wish her the best for the future.

Beauty Co Muswellbrook is again increasing its services to clients and has expanded into a third shop in Central Arcade. Ebbonie and the team can now also be found in the old Caitoria Style shop.

After nine years in Central Arcade, we are sad to announce that Renee, Leslee, Tori and Georgia from Caitoria Style have moved to a bigger salon at 1/36 Brook Street. This was previously Allure Hair and Beauty, behind ANZ bank. Renee and team look forward to seeing their lovely clients at this new location! They can be contacted on Facebook and the same number and booking system as before - 6541 5541 and here.

Louise at Hunter Valley Mediation has taken the tough decision to close her business for for health and COVID reasons. Central Arcade is sorry to see Louise go and wishes her all the best.
Louise posted: 'Whilst I am so sad to be leaving a job that never felt like work to me, I am incredibly grateful to have been trusted by 100’s of families in the last 4.5 years in my private practice.'

Christine's Asian Gourmet has well and truly outgrown its shop in Central Arcade. Christine has moved to a new larger premises at the T-intersection of Maitland Road (New England Highway) and Denman Road (Sydney Street). We wish Christine all the best at this new location.

COVID has struck and beauty stores have been forced to close for now. Amanda and Dani have decided to sell LaBella to Ebbonie at Beauty Co Muswellbrook. Ebbonie has been in the beauty industry since 2014 and has previously had a store in Muswellbrook. She will be selling some products and will reopen as soon as she is allowed! Welcome Ebbonie!

Central Arcade welcomes All Areas Speech Pathology (AASP) to the front of the Arcade, opposite Finders Keepers in the old Premium Real Estate shop. AASP provide Family Centred and Education Focused Speech Pathology Services for people of all ages, from babies through to children, adolescents and adults. Services include: speech and language assessments, speech therapy, swallowing assessments, voice therapy, speech and language screenings, hearing screenings and ear health checks, and can be delivered in clinic or mobile.

Garry Cummins retired this month after 25 years at his barber shop in the back of the Arcade.
Garry was the longest existing tenant in the Arcade prior to retirement and will be sadly missed. He is missing his customers and the other shopkeepers as well, but the aches and pains of barbering have taken their toll.

Central Arcade welcomes Early Links Inclusion Support Service. Early Links has been offering high quality early childhood intervention services in the Hunter region since 1988. Its program supports children, birth to 8, with a developmental delay, disability or who are at risk of developing a developmental delay. Support is offered in the home, school and community settings.

The Arcade sustained some water damage during the major storm in the early hours of Anzac Day morning. Kasha Coffee Lounge will be closed for repairs for some time. All other businesses should be trading again from Monday.

The Fabric Gallery (Veronica Passlow) is downsizing to a smaller shop in the back of the Arcade after 28 years on Bridge Street, the last 20 of which were run by Veronica. The Arcade is pleased that Veronica will continue to serve its customers from a smaller shop.

The Central Arcade's awning on Bridge Street has just been restored and repainted. Materials from local businesses were used to complete this work. The Central Arcade would like to thank Muswellbrook Shire Council for working to improve the appearance of the Muswellbrook CBD by contributing funding to exterior painting of premises in Bridge Street.
